Global stock markets are trading higher today but the optimism failed to reach the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE).

The SOFIX blue-chip index slipped by 0.4% to 465.95 points today. The broader BG40 shed 0.26% closing at 142.4 points. The BG REIT index lost 0.69% to 53.08 points. The BG TR30 index of best performers in total return advanced by 0.13% to 355.17 points.

BSE's overall turnover came to 2.32 mln leva on the day. Deals in corporate bonds accounted for nearly 1 mln leva of the figure. The value of the transactions sealed on BSE's Unofficial market amounted to nearly 313,000 leva. A total of 86 issues were traded today, with 32 of the stocks posting gains.

Moststroy's stock appreciated by 8.08% to 6.7 leva per share, while the traded volume on the position came to 1,239 shares. Holding Roads' rally in the early session lost momentum towards the end of the day. The shares stock price of the company went up by 0.77% to 4.08 leva per share.

Trace Group Hold ended the day 0.21% lower at 48 leva per share. A total of 50 shares in the company traded hands on the day.

Central Cooperative Bank was the only lender to close today's session in positive territory. The stock of the bank appreciated by 1.06% to 1.25 leva per share. The traded volume on the position amounted to 60,293 shares.

First Investment Bank's stock depreciated by 0.27% to 3.74 leva per share. Bulgarian American Credit Bank's stock price remained unchanged at 18 leva per share.

Sparky Eltos advanced by 6.22% to 3.93 leva per share, while the traded volume on the position totaled 610 shares.

Doverie Unite Holding's stock appreciated by 4.06% to 7.7 leva per share. A total of 3,423 shares in the company traded hands on the day. Industrial Holding Bulgaria gained 2.4% to 2.6 leva per share.

Stara Planina Hold advanced by 1.86% to 2.19 leva, while Synergon Holding ended the day 1.22% higher at 2.9 leva per share. Petrol's stock pared much of the early loss to close the day 0.06% lower at 9.44 leva per share.

Other decliners today included Chimimport (-0.81%, to 2.95 leva per share), Holding Varna (-14.91%, to 11.06 leva per share), Orgachim (-0.66%, to 97 leva per share), Monbat (-1.22%, to 6.06 leva per share), Sopharma (-0.09%, to 2.16 leva per share).
