„Optimism prevails on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), which may be put down to the fact that even the worst expectations about the development of the companies during the crisis have already been priced into the market," Nikola Tsokev, Senior Expert, Brokerage & Trading at EFG EFG Securities Bulgaria told Profit.bg.

The factor that exerts pressure on stock prices are the foreign institutional investors, „even though their strength is waning," Tsokev added.

On the other hand, Tsokev believes that after the five straight sessions of gains the SOFIX may slid as a result of investors cashing in on short-term profits. A similar development, however, is less likely to follow, according to Tsokev.

BSE's SOFIX blue-chip index posted its fifth straight gain yesterday advancing by 1.07%, to 374.67 points. The BG40 went up by 2.86%, to 110.36 points, while BSE's overall turnover came to 3.1 mln leva.
