Bulgaria's biggest tobacco company Blagoevgrad BT will not reduce its workforce and its profit for 2008 amounts to 20 mln leva, executive director Petar Papucharov said, as quoted by local daily Struma.

The donations to the company total 1 mln leva, according to Papucharov.

"Against the backdrop of the global financial market meltdown Blagoevgrad BT enters the new year in a stable condition. The company has secured production, as well as its markets and has stable human resource management, Papucharov said.

Blagoevgrad's Christmas party for the public was attended by the chairman of the board of directors of the company Assen Shehov, the newly-appointed executive director Ivan Bilarev, as well as by his predecessor Hristo Lachev.
