The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted its eights straight gain today. The index advanced by 1.02%, to 278.04 points. Other gainers on the day included BG40 (+0.67%, to 89.99 points) and BG TR30 (+0.67%, to 200.77 points). BG REIT was the only decliner on the day slipping by 1.4%, to 39.39 points.

BSE's overall turnover came to 1.34 mln leva on the day, with the Unofficial bond market accounting for 862,000 leva of the figure. The value of the over-the-counter deals amounted to 5,000 leva. A total of 77 issues were traded on the day with 33 of the companies posting stock price gains.

Industrial Holding Bulgaria's stock appreciated by 9.16%, to 1.43 leva per share. The traded volume on the position amounted to 8,738 shares.

Chimimport's stock advanced by 0.98%, to 1.24 leva. Eurohold Bulgaria's stock price remained unchanged. A total of 527 shares in the company changed hands on the day.

Other advancers on the day included Holding Roads (+1.78%, to 2.18 leva) and Trace Group Hold (+2.84%, to 29.00 leva).

Euroins' stock appreciated by 5.81%, to 1.75 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 1,358 shares.

Kaolin gained 1.76% to 2.31 leva per share after 600 shares in the company changed hands.

A total of 32,551 shares in Devin were traded today. The stock appreciated by nearly 5%, to 1.49 leva.

The banking stocks ended today's session mixed. First Investment Bank slipped by 0.67%, to 1.19 leva per share. Central Cooperative Bank's stock price remained unchanged at 0.85 leva, while Bulgarian-American Credit Bank advanced by 1.83%, to 8.15 leva per share.
