„Despite the ongoing global crisis, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange has fallen into lethargy. The SOFIX blue-chip index posted its eight straight advance yesterday but it gained only 6 - 7% over that period.
The trading turnovers remain extremely low, as well as the number of transactions. Most of the stock market players have retreated waiting for better times to come and speculators find trade very difficult in this condition of the market", Irina Hristova, broker at FH Ever, told Profit.bg.
There will be surprises during today's session, according to Hristova. The transfer of the 30% of the capital of Corporate Commercial Bank may leave investors upbeat, if the price turns out to be higher that the market one.
„I suppose that the indexes will move in narrow range with low liquidity, Irina Hristova said.
„The main dilemma of the majority of those willing to trade on BSE is not whether to sell but whether (and exactly when) to buy. Potential investor are taking a wait-and-see approach as a result of the unclarity surrounding the reflection of the global crisis in Bulgaria", Hristova added.
Three of BSE's four indexes ended yesterday's session in positive territory. SOFIX advanced by 1.02%, to 278.04 points. The broader BG40 gained 0.67%, to 89.99 points, while BG TR30 closed 0.67% up, at 200.77 points. BG REIT was the only decliner yesterday slipping by 1.40%, to 39.39 points.
