The long-awaited correction of the negative trend on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) seems to have started, though with moderate growth of the indexes and low trading volumes. The SOFIX blue-chip index posted its ninth straight gain advancing by 0.78%, to 280.21 points. The broader BG40 gained 1.38%, to 91.23 points. BGREIT closed 0.46% higher, at 39.57 points, while BGTR30 ended the day 2.23% up at 205.24 points.

BSE's overall turnover came to 575,780 leva, while the value of the over-the-counter deals amounted to 24,700 leva as at 2:20 p.m. A total of 82 issues were traded on the day with 50 of the companies posting stock price gains.

Infrastructure companies posted another stock price gain on the day. Trace Group Hold was the biggest advancer gaining 10.34%, to 32.00 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 342 shares. Moststroy's stock appreciated by 3.35%, to 2.22 leva, after 976 shares traded.

Holding Roads was the most traded infrastructure company on the day. The volume on the position came to 6,280 shares. The stock appreciated by 1.19%, to 2.21 leva. Holding Roads was the most liquid company on BSE in February and in the first week of March.

Banking stocks ended the day mixed. First Investment Bank's stock price went up by 4.7% to 1.25 leva per share. Bulgarian-American Credit Bank closed the session 0.05% up at 8.15 leva per share.

Central Cooperative Bank's stock gained over 7% in the early session but ended the day nearly 1.00% doqn at 0.84 leva per share.

Corporate Commercial Bank's stock depreciated by 0.94%, to 78.75 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 51 shares.

Some of today's advancers included Sopharma (+1.03%, to 1.97 leva per share), Monbat (+1.24%, to 3.59 leva), Chimimiport (+2.74%, to 1.27 leva), Sparky Eltos (+1.62%, to 1.32 leva), Neochim (+3.81%, to 27.50 leva), Toplivo (+2.04%, to 3.80 leva), Euroins (+5.84%, to 1.85 leva), М+S Hydraulic (+0.74%, to 2.85 leva), Kaolin (+1.73%, to 2.35 leva), Enemona (+2.24%, to 6.85 leva), Elana Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund (+4.31%, to 0.68 leva).

Some of today's decliners were Industrial Holding Bulgaria (-2.10%, to 1.40 leva), Lead & Zinc Complex (-0.11%, to 8.39 leva) and Albena (-3.03%, to 16.00 leva).

Orgachim's stock price remained unchanged at 58.50 leva. As a result of management reshuffles Boyko Shoilekov stepped down yesterday as a deputy executive director of the company.
