Bulgarian President Georgi Purvanov will pay a state visit to Lithuania on March 16-18 at the invitation of his Lithuanian counterpart Valdas Adamkus, the President's press secretariat said.

Talks between the two heads of state and plenary sessions between the two delegation are on the agenda.

The foreign ministries of Bulgaria and Lithuania will sign an agreement for cooperation and a protocol for cooperation in the area of tourism in the presence of Purvanov and Adamkus.

The presidents will present each other with their countries' highest state honours.

Purvanov is scheduled to meet with Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius and Seimas Speaker Arunas Valinskas.

Purvanov will visit the town of Kaunas and the Lavoriskes border crossing on the Belarusian-Lithuanian borderл

On the delegation are Interior Minister Mihail Mikov, State Agency for Tourism Chair Anelia Kroushkova, Deputy Foreign Minister Lyubomir Kyuchoukov and Purvanov's secretaries.

On March 18 President Purvanov will make a working visit to the Czech Republic at the invitation of Czech President Vaclav Klaus.

Purvanov and Klaus will have a working dinner and will attend a concert of renowned Bulgarian jazz musician Milcho Leviev at the Spanish Hall of the Prague Castle, where the seat of the Czech president is. The concert is fiftieth in a jazz cycle, organized by the Czech Presidency.
