"Institutional investors were most likely the main players during the sell-offs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) yesterday. The supply met an adequate in size demand, which led to the indexes losing their momentum. I expect the pressure on the indexes to continue in the following days", Vladislav Panev, chairman of the board of directors of Status Capital, told Profit.bg.

He will also follow carefully the new issues that are to be offered on the market by the end of March, which will be related mainly to capital increases.

BSE's indexes started the new week with declines yesterday. SOFIX (-4.27%, 265.34 points) and BG40 (-4.19%, 86.90 points) posted the biggest losses.

BG REIT and BG TR30 shed 2.31% and 3.67% respectively, declining to 38.90 and 196.99 points.

BSE's overall turnover exceeded 594,000 leva. A total of 84 issues were traded yesterday with 23 of the stocks posting price gains.
