In line with the Western capital markets the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) opened today with high purchasing activity. The major index are up by around 3%.

Yesterday the Dow Jones index jumped by nearly 500 points and the major Wall Street indexes advanced by around 7%. Dow posted its biggest percentage gain since October.

Today BSE's SOFIX blue-chip index is up 3.12%, to 280.14 points, while BG40 advances by 2.87% to 89.25 points.

Stara Planina Hold is the biggest advancer on BSE's Official market so far today. The stock price of the company is up by 21%, to 1.42 leva. Chimimport advanced by 4.5% to 1.27 leva, while the turnover on the position amounts to nearly 15,000 shares.

Banks are also among the biggest gainers so far today. First Investment Bank and Central Cooperative Bank are up by 6.77% and 4%, to 1.39 leva and 0.87 leva per share, respectively.

Infrastructure companies Holding Roads and Trace Group Hold gained 5.12% and 3.64%, to 2.16 leva and 34.2 leva, respectively.

Devin's advanced by 6.82%, to 1.99 leva, while Kaolin gained 5.4% to 2.95 leva per share. Toplivo's stock appreciated by nearly 17% to 4.3 leva per share.

BSE's turnover after the first hour of trading amounted to 1.9 mln leva.
