The turnover of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to 128.9 mln leva in April, the monthly bulletin of the bourse showed. The figure represents a 71-percent decline compared to March (445.3 mln leva) and 54-percent year-on-year decrease.

The average daily turnover stood at 6.78 mln leva, compared to 22.27 mln leva in March and 5.18 mln leva and 4.16 mln leva January and February, respectively.

Companies operating in the field of Trade, repairs and technical maintenance of automobiles and motorcycles had the biggest share in BSE's trade in April - 33.27 mln leva in April. Companies operating in the field of Financial intermediation and the Processing industry followed with 23.9 mln leva and 10.3 mln leva turnover, respectively.

Chimimport and Central Cooperative Bank were the most liquid stocks in April with 3,509 and 2,472 trades and turnover of 5.625 mln leva and 1.632 mln leva, respectively.

First Investment bank ranked third with 1,839 trades to a total value of 2.18 mln leva. Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria and Euorhold Bulgaria posted 1,047 and 1,011 trades, as well as 501,000 leva and 399,000 leva turnover, respectively.

Bullborkers topped the ranking of BSE members in terms of turnover, followed by Central Cooperative Bank, Astra Investment, KTB and Elana Trading. Karoll ranked first in terms of number of trades, followed by Elana Trading, Ug Market and EFG Securities Bulgaria.
