Bulgarian Capital Market Struggles to Find Direction Monday

The Bulgarian capital market failed to find a direction today. The indexes started today's session lower. The two major index then managed to reverse their losses and enter positive territory. Eventually SOFIX and BG40 ended the day with minimal losses. SOFIX shed 0.03%, to 371.38 points, while BG40 slipped by -0.12%, to 103.15 points.
BGREIT was the biggest decliner on the day slipping by 2.52%, to 38.61 points. BG TR30 skidded 0.39% lower, to 279.81 points.
BSE's overall turnover came to 1.59 mln leva, while the value of the over-the-counter deals exceeded 225 000 leva as at 2.45 p.m. A total of 81 issues were traded on the day with 26 of the stocks posting price gains.
The traded volume on the position of Chimimport amounted to 162,868 shares on the day. The stock of the company appreciated by 2.44%, to 2.20 leva per share. A total of 1.8 mln rights issues as part of the capital increase of Chimimport traded hands on the day.
The revised tender offer of Albena Holding towards the shareholders of Albena had a positive effect on the stock price of the resort complex. The stock of the company appreciated by 10.15%, to 28.40 leva per share. A total of 6,483 shares traded hands on the day.
The tender offer was revised up by 3 leva, to 30 leva per share, it emerged this morning.
Banking stocks ended today's session mixed. Advancers included Central Cooperative Bank (+1.99%, to 1.44 leva per share) and Bulgarian-American Credit Bank (+1.55%, to 13.10 leva per share). First Investment Bank ПИБ was among toda's decliners after the stock of the company depreciated by 0.84%, to 2.36 leva. Corporate Commercial Bank's stock price remained unchanged at 62.50 leva per share.
Trace Group Hold's stock ended the day higher (+0.15%, to 52.59 leva per share), while the stock price of Moststroy (-2.43%, 5.01 лв.) and Holding Roads (-1.72%, to 3.20 leva) went down.
