Police Detains Bank Robbers Group in Kyustendil

A group specialized in bank robbery was arrested Sunday to Monday night in Kyustendil, southwestern Bulgaria.
The group is known as the "Lyulinska Group" - a group from Sofia's Lyulin quarter - and that it includes a 30-year old policemen on active service in Sofia, it emerged from the press release of the Kyustendil Regional Directorate of Interior.
The group was detained during an attempt to break in a bank in Kyustendil. The services have watched their preparations for a month and a half. The group ruined a wall of a cellar neighbouring that bank and took way the bricks in sacs. They were arrested last night when they put into operation their cutting and cooling devices.
The seven men will be held under arrest for 24 hours. The police reported that a big amount of money, radio stations and high tech equipment were seized during the arrest.
Kyustendil Regional Prosecutor told BTA that charges are to be made against the robbers.
