BSE Indexes Still Unable To post Gains for June

The indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) are still unable to post gains for the month of June. Despite the two positive sessions on Thursday and Friday, the indexes logged their third straight weekly decline.
SOFIX advanced by 1.52%, to 361.29 points today, while the broader BG40 is up by 2.05%, to 102.48 points. BG REIT ended the day 0.25% down, at 39.60 points, while BG TR30 gained 2.13% to 269.95 points.
BSE's overall turnover came to 6.19 mln leva. Trade in the units of Mutual Fund CCB Active, Mutual Fund CCB Leader and Mutual Fund Real Finance High-Yield Fund accounted for the bulk of today's turnover. A total of 63 issues were traded on the day with 33 of the stocks posting price gains.
On a weekly basis the performance of the indexes is as follows: SOFIX (-2.63%), BG40 (-1.51%), BG REIT (-1.00%) and BG TR30 (-2.46%).
SOFIX is down by 4.81% in June, while BG40 has lost 1.64%. BG REIT has lost 2.17% of its value since the start of the month, while BG TR30 is down by 4.50%.
SOFIX is still in positive territory since the start of the year advancing by 0.73%. The year-to-date performance of the other three indexes is as follows BG40 (-4.94%), BG REIT (-18.40%) and BG TR30 (-1.05%).
A total of seven companies included on the calculation of the BG40 posted stock price gains over the week. Industrial Holding Bulgaria was the best performer over the week. The stock appreciated by 7.64%, to 2.96 leva per share.
The average stock price of Stara Planina Hold went up by 7.33%, to 1.61 leva per share. Neochim gained nearly 2% over the week, to 27.96 leva per share.
