Optimism pervaded on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange today. Nevertheless, it is still too early for any general conclusions to be made.

BSE's trading turnover today trailed far behind yesterday's results even though gainers accounted for 73% of the total number of stocks traded on the day. The total value of the transactions sealed on BSE today amounted to 5.62 mln leva.

Yesterday's turnover totaled 8.53 mln leva, while 39% of the traded stocks ended the session higher. The value of the block deals and other registered trades on BSE remained relatively high at 3.73 mln leva today.

Today's trading session started actively, which helped three of BSE's four indexes to end the day on positive territory. The SOFIX blue-chip index advanced by 2.98% to 1,235.21 points to close with gains for the second straight day.

The broader BG40 index added 2.9% to its value closing at 353.08 points, while the BGTR30 index of best performers in total return moved 2.47% up to 813.37 points. The BGREIT was the only index to slip on the day. The index closed 0.29% lower at 96.54 points.

A total of 18 of SOFIX's 19 companies ended the session on positive turf. The Bulgarian American Credit Bank (BACB) closed 3.04% down at an average of 69.18 leva per share after 179 shares traded. A total of 38 of BG40's stocks ended the day with gains. The BGTR30 index saw 27 of its constituents close higher.

Some of the advancers registered relatively high trading volumes. Lead & Zinc Complex's stock appreciated by 10.73% to an average of 58.21 leva per share.

A total of 66,027 shares changed hands in Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria. The stock advanced by 10.36% to 2.13 leva per share.

Alcomet closed up for the second straight day. The stock of the company added 10.25% to its value today ending at an average of 10.97 leva per share.

Central Cooperative Bank's stock price went 7.94% up to an average of 5.71 leva per share. A total of 22,030 shares in the financial institution changed hands on the day. The last deal involved the transfer of 15,500 shares. First Investment Bank closed 3.16% higher at an average of 7.5 leva per share.

A total of 42,338 shares in Chimimport were transferred on the day. The stock of the company appreciated by 4.95% to an average of 8.48 leva per share.

Eurohold Bulgaria and Euroins were also among BSE's advancers today. A total of 35,832 shares in the holding company changed hands on the day at an average price of 5.24 leva per share. The stock of the insurance company appreciated by 2.27% to an average of 9.91 leva per share.

Today's gainers also included Industrial Capital Holding(+4.73% to 8.42 leva per share), Elhim Iskra (+4.6% to 5.23 leva per share), Emka (+4.27% to 11.96 leva per share), Stara Planina Hold (+3.52% to 6.18 leva per share), Synergon Holding (+3.39% to 9.14 leva per share), M+S Hydraulic (+3.24% to 9.88 leva per share). Sparky Eltos also advanced by 2% to an average of 12.73 leva per share.

Enemona's stock price went up by 3.38% to an average of 17.74 leva per share on the news that the company plans to make investments for 64 mln leva.
