The total turnover on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange in the week 23-27 April 2007 amounted to 98.512 mln leva – the highest turnover in eight weeks, Profit.bg statistics showed.

A week earlier BSE turnover stood at 53.88 mln leva and in the period 10-13 April was 42.114 mln leva. Eight week earlier it reached 121.185 mln leva.

A total of 5,979 transactions were made last week versus 6,223 transactions the previous week.

Friday was the most active day with 1,393 transactions, while Wednesday was the weakest day with 1,032 transactions.

Turnover on Friday reached 40.171 mln leva. Bulgarian River Shipping accounted for 84.14% of this turnover. Turnover was lowest on Wednesday – 8.624 mln leva.
BG40 added 1.12% to 252.67 points last week while SOFIX was up 0.24% to 1,273.59 points.
