Bulgarian Rose Sevtopolis Profit Drops 55% in Jan – Sept 2007

Profit of Bulgarian Rose Sevtopolis dropped nearly 55% to 936,000 leva (478,560 euros) from 2.08 mln leva (1.063 mln euros) a year ago, the non-consolidated Jan – Sept report reveals.

Revenues decline slightly – from 9.77 mln leva a year ago to 9.67 mln leva, in spite of a hike in revenues from core activity which climbed by nearly 600,000 leva to 9.52 mln leva.

There were no revenues from operations with financial assets within the period concerned, compared with 657,000 leva posted a year ago.

Costs have risen by more than 1 mln leva to 8.73 mln leva, mainly on rising expenses in core activity.

The company has a core capital in the amount of 6.033 mln leva (3.084 mln euros), and own capital in the amount of 11.36 mln leva (5.808 mln euros).

At a general meeting held July 13, shareholders decided that after setting 1.608 mln leva to the Reserves fund, the rest of 2006 profit will be used to cover losses accrued from prior periods,

Main shareholder is Sopharma JSC, which controls 49% of the capital, other legal entities own 25.17%.

922 shares changed hands in today's trade, adding 1% to an average of 3.96 leva/share.
