It was a nerve-wracking week for investors on BSE, especially Wednesday. Today three of the four official BSE indexes declined.
SOFIX remains below 1500 points. The index dropped 0.66% to 1490.09 today. The blue chips shed 10.2% in five days.
BGTR30 could not pass the 1000 points. The broad indicator lost 0.9% to 957.82. The loss between January 14 and 18 came to 9%.
The only advancing index today was BGREIT which closed at 100.37, or 0.56% up since Thursday. In spite of the small daily advance, the REITs lost 3% on a weekly basis.
BG40 fell 0.35% to 435.68 points. The decline versus last Friday stands at 11%.
BSE’s daily turnover amounted to 13.476 mln leva (6.890 mln euros). 39 out of 118 active issues ended on positive territory. The value of block and other reported OTC transactions came to 1.712 mln leva (875,331 euros).
None of the forty companies in BG40 ended the week on positive territory.
Elana Agricultural Opportunity REIT seemed the best performer. The stock price ended the week flat at 2.3 leva.
17 of BG40’s components lost more than 10% this week. Fazerles dropped 23.76% to an average of 221.18 leva, against 290.1 leva last Friday.
Chugunoleene also suffered a serious loss. The company’s market value slumped 18.62% to an average of 25.35 leva/share, compared to 31.15 leva last Friday.
Devnya-based Polimeri advanced last week, but ended the January 14 – 18 period 18.03% down to 9 leva.
Euroins dropped 15.91% to an average of 13.11 leva. Toplivo ranks immediately after the insurer with a decline of 15.03% to an average of 24.88 leva.
Chimimport closed at an average of 12.33 leva, which is a decline of 13.9% for the week. Two other companies lost more than 13% this week – Industrial Capital Holding (-13.52% to an average of 8.44 leva) and Zaharni Zavodi (-13.46% to 12.54 leva).
