COBOS Clients Placed More Than 1 Million Orders Last Year
Orders placed via COBOS last year were by 144.35% more than those placed in 2006. The total number of placed orders last year was 96.64% above 2006 figures.
Turnover via COBOS is also up 11.59% y/y, which is still not a significant increase, but we have to bear in mind that COBOS clients are mostly individual investors.
A total of 1 057 476 orders were submitted via COBOS in 2007, which is 71.06% of all orders for the year. 389,784 deals were made as a result of them (79.47% of all transactions last year).
In 2006, by comparison, orders placed via the electronic trade system accounted for 57.19% of all and transactions made as a result of them were 66.26% of all deals.
The number of COBOS transactions has risen 175.63% last year compared to 2006, while the number of BSE transactions as a whole has gone up 129.81%.
The average volume of COBOS deals last year stood at 1,559.17 shares, compared with 567.93 shares in 2006.
At the end of 2007 there were a total of 5,142 COBOS clients, or more than double the 2006 number.
