Four Companies Make Their BSE Debut Today

Four companies are making their stock exchange debut today – Unifarm Jsc, Europe Line Group, Balkan Project Management (BPM) and City Properties REIT. At a ceremony this morning representatives of the four enterprises rang the bourse bell, symbolically marking the start of the trade session.
„Some time ago I heard someone say that the stock exchange is not a bingo hall and I loved this statement,“ said Ognyan Palaveeev, Unifarm CEO and chairman.
He added that his company has been operating on the pharmaceutical market for 30 years and has been a private company for 11 years now.
By going public Unifarm Jsc hopes to receive a realistic market evaluation, as well as to attain consolidation with its partners and to gain the trust of the public.
Unifarm Jsc posted net profit in the amount of 1.22 mln leva in Q1 this year, compared with 1.49 mln leva a year ago. Revenues stand at 4.92 mln leva, versus 4.26 mln leva in 2006. The company's core capital is 500,000 leva allocated in as many shares.
The pharmaceutical company announced on its website its plans to merge with Orgachim. Ognyan Donev is also a member of Orgachim's Supervisory Board.
„We believe in the Bulgarian Stock Exchange and in Bulgaria's future as an EU member. This is why we decided to be listed om BSE,“said Nikolos Bogonikolos, CEO Europe Line Group Jsc.
The company's core activity is consultant services in the field of EU funds and policies, and trade. It has participation in Bulgarian and foreign companies.
Marcello Jovanini, CEO Balkan Projecti Management EAD, said the aim of the stock exchange listing was to find a strategic investor in the field of chemical production. He also said the public status increases the trust in a company.
Jovanini said the company was founded in 1992 and operates in three main areas – distribution of chemicals, production of linear alkylbenzen sulphonic acid /LABSA/ and distribution of auto accessories and perfumes. The company is the official representative of Arexons auto cosmetics in Bulgaria.
The LABSA production is in cooperation with Veila Jsc, which owns the installation. BPM bough the the facility in 2004. A joint project with Procter & Gamble was launched in 2005.
Stoyan Toshev, CEO City Development REIT made a presentation on the company's activity and short-term plans. He said the company will be focusing on its project in the village of Majare, region of Samokov, where it is building a five-star hotel with a total built-up area of 5,000 sq.m. The plans also include a restaurant, conference halls, swimming pools, sauna, a bowling alley, an ice rink, a gym and other sports and entertainment facilities.
According to its prospectus City Properties REIT will buy a plot of approximately 3,000 sq.m in one of Sofia's southern neighborhoods in order to build a gated residential complex.
The prospectus also reveals plans to buy a 1,500 sqm regulated plot in Sofia in Mladost area near Business Park Sofia at a price of 150 euros/sqm, where a luxury office building with a total built-up area of 5,000 sqm will be erected.
