Bulgarian lubricant manufacturer Prista Oil, present on the Romanian market for over ten years, intends to double its market share in around two years, and secure the No. 1 position among lubricant merchants, Ziarul Financiar reported.
The Romanian lubricant market is estimated at almost 150 million euros. Prista Oil forecasts an around 40-percent increase in turnover to 22 million euros this year and expects its market share to reach 15-17%.
"We want to be market the leader in two years, and reach a 30% market share. The close proximity of the plant in Bulgaria, in Ruse, will be a factor in meeting our goal. Promotion and our price policy will be other factors considered,", Plamen Bobokov, chairman of Prista Oil's Board of Directors, and one of the company shareholders, said.
Lukoil is the leader on the Romanian lubricants market, while the Bulgarian company holds a share similar to that of the Hungarian player MOL, according to Prista Oil representatives. Prista Oil estimates it holds a 55-percent share of the Bulgarian market, estimated 50,000-55,000 tonnes a year.
