The total number of certificates issued for stock trading through the COBOS platform stood at 5,568 as at the end of June 2008, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) told Profit.bg. The number of newly-issued certifactes went up by 426 since the beginning of the year.

The number of newly-issued certificates declined by 13 in the last month. This may be put down to the fact that there are expired certificates that will be renewed in this month.

The number of clients of Elana Trading investment intermediary has gone up by 158 since the beginning of the year. BenchMark Finance and Ug Market followed with 116 and 68 new clients in 2008, respectively. Karoll and Real Finance round out the top five with 32 and 18 newly issued certificates, respectively.

Karoll topped the ranking with 1,304 clients as at the end of June. Elana Trading and BenchMark Financed ranked second and third in terms of number of clients, followed by Ug Market and Capman.

The number of investment intermediaries, which have issued more than 100 certificates, stands at 12, compared to 11 as at the end of 2007.
