Four Companies Meet Criteria for Short Selling, Margin Trade
Only four companies listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) meet the criteria for short selling and margin trade after the end of today's session.
These are: Eurohold Bulgaria, First Investment Bank (FIBank), Monbat and Chimimport.
Chimimport posted the highest average daily turnover (301,000 leva) over the last 20 trading sessions, followed by First Investment Bank, Monbat and Eurohold Bulgaria.
Chimimport tops the ranking in terms of number of transactions as well, followed by Monbat, FIBank and Eurohold Bulgaria.
Central Cooperative Bank dropped from the list yesterday, while preceded by Sopharma on Wednesday.
The other two companies that have met the criteria for short selling and margin trade at certain point so far were Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria and Industrial Holding Bulgaria.
In order to be used in short selling and margin trade transactions stocks have to meet four criteria at the same time in the last 20 sessions.
The stocks have to be traded at least on 15 of the last 20 sessions; the minimum daily turnover should be no less than 5,000 shares; the number of daily transactions should be no less than 30 and the number of stocks in an issue multiplied by the closing price in the last day of trading should equal no less than 20 mln leva.
