GLOBUL Q3 Profit up by More Than 37%

GLOBUL operating profit for the third quarter of 2008 stood at BGN 57.6 million, up by more than 37%, compared to the same period of the past year.
Company revenues for the quarter reached BGN 237.9 million, up from BGN 215 million for the third quarter of 2007, an increase of 10.7%.
GLOBUL revenues for the nine months to September 2008 stood at BGN 649 million, up by more than 10% year-on-year while operating income for the period grew by some 24% to BGN 134 million.
GLOBUL customer base reached more than 4 million subscribers as of the end of September, up by 10% on the year.
GLOBUL pursues its focus on the post-paid customer segment, adding approximately 105,000 net new contract subscribers, to bring its contract customer base to 2 million, or 50% of the total. As in previous quarters, pre-paid customers registered a decline of approximately 31,000, leading to an overall customer growth of 74,000.
GLOBUL's blended AMOU for the nine months of 2008 reached 109 minutes, up by about 19%. Blended ARPU declined by about 6% to just over BGN 18.30, due to lower post-paid ARPU, resulting from the higher subscriber numbers in this category.
