The indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted modest gains in thin trade. Three of the indexes added less than 1% to their value each. The SOFIX blue-chip index closed 0.65% higher at 365.62 points, posting its third straight gain.

The index of the most traded stocks on BSE BG40 advanced by 0.49%, 109.13 points, closing higher in seventh straight session. The BGTR30 index of best performers in total return added 0.91% to its value ending the day at 283.39 points.

The BGREIT index posted the biggest increase for the day advancing by 1.44%, to 48.06 points.

BSE's overall turnover came to 1.095 mln leva today, while the value of the over-the-counter deals amounted to 170,000 leva as at 2:30 p.m. A total of 82 issues were traded on the day, while the number of the companies, which posted stock price gains stood at 44.

Industrial Holding Bulgaria was the only decliner on Segment A of BSE's Official market today. The stock of the company depreciated by 5.5%, to 1.7 leva per share. Albena Invest Holding's stock appreciated by 4.88%, to 4.51 leva per share, after 9,447 shares in the company traded hands on the day.

Stara Planina Hold went up by 2.78% to 1.85 leva per share, while Synergon Holdong stock price remained unchanged at 2.2 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 9,658 shares on the day.

Chimimport's stock appreciated by 2.36%, to 2.17 leva after a total of 46,000 shares in the company changed hands. The advance coincided with the company's 93.6 mln leva consolidated profit for the first nine months of the company.

The market capitalization of Bulgarian River Shipping went up by 5.03%, to 2.15 leva per share.

Some of today's decliners listed on BSE's Official market were Monbat (-5.69%, to 4.42 leva per share), Petrol (-6.78%, to 11 leva per share) and Bulgarska-Roza Sevtopolis (-2.4%, to 0.65 leva per share).

The banking stocks on BSE traded mixed on the day. Central Cooperative Bank's stock appreciated by 7.14%, to 1.2 leva per share, while First Investment Bank rose by 4.24%, to 2.9 leva per share.

Corporate Commercial Bank's stock price remained unchanged at 65 leva per share, while the stock of Bulgarian-American Credit Bank shed 3.24% of its value, to 11.61 leva per share.

The stock of SS Konstantine And Elena Holding shed 24.21% of their value to 12.05 leva per share. The decline coincided with the year-on-year drop in the company's profit for the first nine months of 2008.

The day was successful for two of the three infrastructure companies on BSE. The market capitalization of Holding Roads went up by 3.27%, to 3.54 leva per share, while Moststroy's stock appreciated by 0.5%, to 4.02 leva per share. Trace Group Hold slipped by 3.61% to 40 leva per share.
