The parliament of Bulgaria adopted the 2009 budget today. Prior to the vote journalists sought answer to the question as to whether the Bulgarian Socialist Party and parliament National Movement for Surge and Stability (NMSS) made a deal involving BSP supporting the Cultural Heritage Act in exchange for NMSS' support for budget 2009.
The doubts increased yesterday after NMSS left the parliament and today insisted for a change in the agenda that would enable the Cultural Heritage Act to be among the first to be put to vote today.
The proposal for a change to the agenda was rejected today. I do not know what you call a deal but BSP dod not treat NMSS fairly because we had a different arrangement for today's agenda, Ognyan Gerdjikov an MP for NMSS, said.
Gerdjikov suggested that certain people were most likely influenced in other ways to rest the preservation of Bulgaria's cultural heritage.
