The indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted gains in the beginning of the first session of the week but optimism fizzled out towards the end of the day. All four indexes ended today's session in negative territory. The SOFIX blue-chip index slipped by 0.92%, to 274.32 points, while the broader BG40 shed 0.69% to 89.48 points. BG REIT lost 1.48%, to 40.50 points, while BG TR30 skidded 0.79% lower, to 196.91 points.

BSE's overall turnover exceeded 795,000 leva, while the value of the over-the-counter deals amounted to 3.79 mln leva as at 2:00 p.m. A total of 62 issues were traded on the day with 19 of the companies posting stock price gains.

Lead & Zinc Complex was among today's gainers advancing by 4.72%, to 5.79 leva. The traded volume on the position came to 3,320 shares.

Monbat's stock price went up by 3.19%, to 4.05 leva per share. Monbat 597 000 of its shares outstanding, which represents 1.53% of the capital of the company, it emerged in the end of last week. The shares were repurchased at an average price of 7.06 leva per share.

The company bought back 223,000 of its own shares in the period November 19 - February 12 at an average price of 4.289 leva per share. Thus, Monbat completed its fourth share buyback procedure.

Banks ended mostly lower on the day. Central Cooperative Bank shed 3.18% to 0.85 leva per share. Corporate Commercial Bank slipped by 0.01% to 76.5 leva per share. Bulgarian American-Credit Bank lost 5.17% of its stock price to 8.25 leva per share. The traded turnover on the position stood at 50 shares. First Investment Bank was the only gainer on the day advancing by 0.08%, to 1.22 leva per share.

Infrastructure companies ended the day with losses. Holding Roads' stock depreciated by 3.01%, to 2 leva per share. Trace Group Hold slipped by 1.27%, to 27.1 leva per share. Moststroy's stock depreciated by 4.52%, to 1.9 leva per share.
