BSE Indexes Close Higher on Wednesday

All four indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) ended today's session in positive territory. The SOFIX blue-chip index advanced by 0.69%, to 261.75 points, while the broader BG40 went up by 0.52%, to 85.36 points. BG REIT gained 1.22%, to 40.66 points, while BG TR30 closed 0.95% higher at 190.46 points.
BSE's overall turnover amounted to 1.16 mln leva, while the value of the over-the-counter deals exceeded 2.8 mln leva as at 2:25 p.m. A total of 73 issues were traded on the day with 36 of the companies posting stock price gains.
Infrastructure companies posted over 5% gains each. Holding Roads' market capitalization went up by 5.48%, to 2.1 leva per share. A total of 14,162 shares in the company traded hands on the day.
Moststroy's stock appreciated by 5.56%, to 1.9 leva per share. Trace Group Hold was the biggest gainer advancing by 5.96%, to 26.5 leva per share.
Banking stocks also ended today's session higher. CCB's stock gained 2.84%, to 0.8 leva per share. FIBank closed the session 4.00% higher at 1.17 leva per share. BACB's stock appreciated by 1.33%, to 7.65 leva per share. The traded volume on the position came to 8,366 shares.
No deals were sealed on the position of KTB. The bank booked 4.86 mln leva profit for January yesterday.
Some of today's other advancers included Synergon Holding (+6.17%, to 1.5 ), Chimimport (+2.65%, to 1.2 leva), Eurohold Bulgaria (+5.54%, to 0.8 leva) and Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria (+3.17%, to 0.49 leva). Stara Planina Hold's stock appreciated by 1.32%, to 1.15 leva per share. Earlier today the company posted 5 mln leva consolidated profit for 2008, or 0.24 leva earnings per share. Stara Planina booked 8.15 mln leva profit for 2007, which also included one-off gains to a total value of 2.142 mln leva.
Other gainers on the day were Monbat (+2.2%, to 3.68 leva), Orgachim (+1.99%, to 54.05 leva), Lead & Zinc Complex (+0.15%, to 5.95 leva) and Sparky Eltos (+2.85%, to 1.27 leva). Devin edged 2.66% up today, closing at 1.35 leva per share.
M+S Hydraulic slumped by 12.28%, to 3.42 leva on the day.
