The government's intentions for a soft economic landing and the hopes for progress on key infrastructure projects reflected positively on the stock prices of infrastructure companies traded on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE).

Holding Roads' stock appreciated by 5.86% to 2.22 leva per share on the day. Moststroy advanced by 15.21%, to 2.19 leva, while Trace Group Hold's stock price went up by 5.66%, to 28 leva per share. The three companies are yet to report their consolidated financial results for 2008.

Today's session turned out a positive one for most of BSE's indexes. The SOFIX blue-chip index closed at 262.01 points, gaining 0.1%. The broader BG40 advanced by 1.45%, to 86.60 points. BGTR30 edged 1.38% up, to 193.08 points. BGREIT was the only decliner on the day. The index skidded 0.57% lower, to 40.43 points.

Today's turnover reminded of BSE's good days - 31.05 mln leva. A total of 274,418 shares in EIBank changed hands in a single transaction today at a price of 106.9 leva per share. The stock depreciated by 3.11%.

A total of 72 issues were traded on the day with 28 of the stocks posting price gains. The value of the over-the-counter deals amounted to 3.7 mln leva as at 2:40 p.m.

A total of 6 712 shares in KTB were transferred today. The stock of the bank appreciated by 1.39%, to 73.00 leva per share. The bank booked 4.86 mln leva profit for January 2009.

CCB was also among today's advancers. The stock of the company appreciated by 0.25%, to 0.8 leva per share. FIBank stock price depreciated by 1.71%, to 1.15 leva per share.

Other decliners on the day included Doverie United Holding (-4.69%, to 3.66 leva), Sopharma (-1.62%, to 1.82 leva), Chimimport (-0.17%, to 1.2 leva), Eurohold Bulgaria (-0.62%, to 0.8 leva).

Monbat ended the day 2.12% down at 3.6 leva per share. The company booked 9.74 mln leva net sales revenue, down 49.72% year on year.

The starter battery maker posted 1.11 mln leva profit for January 2009, which represents a 71.43-percent drop, compared to the corresponding month of 2008.

Lead & Zinc Complex's stock appreciated by 0.86%, to 6.00 leva per share. Orgachim advanced by 1.75%, to 55.00 leva.
