A total 12 of the companies listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted more than 2,000 trades each in the first half of 2009 Profit.bg data show.

Chimiport topped the ranking with 10,631 trades, followed by First Investment Bank and Central Cooperative Bank with 7,591 and 6,624 transactions, respectively.

The top 10 also features Eurohold Bulgaria, Holding Roads, Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria, Monbat, Sopharma, Lead & Zinc Complex and Enemona.

Sparky Eltos and Industrial Holding Bulgaria failed to make it among the ten most traded stocks on BSE in the first six months of the year.

Lead & Zinc Complex, Sopharma, Central Cooperative Bank, Enemona and Chimimport posted price stock increases in the period, while the stock of Eurohold Bulgaria, Holding Roads, First Investment Bank, Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria and Monbat depreciated.
