Central Depository recorded a total of 543,511 transactions in 2007, of which 482,458 on the BSE floor and 61,053 agreed transactions.

The total number of shares traded in 2007 stands at 582.22 million and in 2006 at 1.014 billion.

Trade was most active in October, when investors made 77,294 transactions, followed by November and September with 61,248 and 28,403 deals respectively.

On July and June the number of transactions stood at 48,000. The slowest months on BSE were April and May with respectively 24,501 and 28,403 deals.

Transactions with shares numbered 465,077, with bonds 1,241, with rights 6,390, and 1,668 with units in mutual funds.

The most traded shares were those of Chimimport (28,748 deals) and Eurohold Bulgaria (22,916).

More than 10,000 transactions were also recorded on the positions of Synergon Holding, Doverie United Holding, Lead&Zinc Complex, First Investment Bank, Industrial Holding Bulgaria and Kaolin.

The most liquid company prize last year went to Synergon Holding. The runners up were Industrial Holding Bulgaria and Doverie United Holding.
