Sunshine always comes after the storm as the saying goes. Nevertheless, this does not hold value for the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE). Despite the positive impulses, seen on the local capital market last week and in the beginning of this week, a negative week for BSE has come to an end. The positive thing in this case is that we saw something exceptional for the recent months - a short correction of the negative trend.

The SOFIX blue-chip index shed 1.82% to 361.32 points. The broader BG40 ended the day 2.76% down at 107 points. BG REIT and BG TR30 lost 2.71% and 2.13%, to 45.61 and 274.23 points, respectively. BSE's overall turnover came to nearly 4 mln leva. The value of the over-the-counter deals exceeded 128,000 as at 3:00 p.m.

BSE's all four indexes posted weekly losses. SOFIX lost 2.17%, BG40 shed 1.18%, while BG REIT and BG TR30 slipped by 2.9% and 1.75%, respectively.

The indexes are in negative territory since the start of the month as well. SOFIX has shed 1.18% of its value in December, BG40 is down 1.95%. BG TR30 and BG REIT have lost 3.23% and 5.1% of their value since the start of the month.

Nine of the companies, included in the calculation of BG40, posted weekly declines in average stock price.

Moststroy was the biggest decliners this week dropping by 13.81% to 3.79 leva per share.

Orgachim advanced by 7.79%, to 80.95 leva per share, while Bulgarska Roza-Sevtopolis gained 4.29%, to an average of 0.73 leva per share.

Some of this week decliners included Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria (-9.09% to an average of 0.7 leva per share), Advance Terrafund REIT (-8.82%, to an average of 0.93 leva per share) and Industrial Capital Holding (-7.45%, to 2.36 leva per share).
